Ten Ton Chicken to Record Sophomore CD

FEBRUARY 20, 2003 (BERKELEY, CA) -- Ten Ton Chicken has announced having entered the studio to record their second CD. The all studio recording will be the follow-up to their acclaimed 2001 studio/live mix CD, "Just Like in the Old Country", released in 2001. The Bay Area improvisational groove rock band began sessions at Oakland's iMusicast Studios in early February. A title has yet to be given to the project which has a Spring release date.

"The sessions have been real tight and the band is excited about the new material", said Gary Morrell, guitarist for the band. Adding, "We can't wait for the release of the CD and the performances to follow". A subsequent tour in support of the CD will have Ten Ton Chicken performing about the West and places yet ventured. Current feature performances are scheduled in San Francisco, Seattle, Humboldt and Baja, Mexico. Stay tuned for more information from the Coop.
