The Threat of Time
Words and Music - Gary Morrell
Appears on Blue Earth Moon
b. 10/14/22
Heading in the wrong direction is worse than doing nothing at all
The forest never chooses and somehow always gets it right
Winter springs to summer inexorable march to fall
Daylight looking back ever forward calmly into night
I will stare at the wall
Until my shadow is carved into stone
She took the lower path opting to wade through the pool
She felt more at home among the fishes seaweed and the slime
She saw a gleaming white seahorse straddled him, and joined the school
Kingfisher scanning down took a dive the seahorse out of time
I will stare at the wall
Until my shadow is carved into stone
The threat of time clip gain line few and far between blue earth moon
Imprinted, The Imprinted you will not forget where you were
The threat of time let’s drink wine, though everybody gets a different tune
Later when the dust settles we ask, what became of her
I will stare at the wall
Until my shadow is carved into stone
