Trust Your Insects

Well a lotta things really bug me

Most of those things are kinda dumb

You can be dumb if you want to

You can be kind, or you can be numb

When I think back on my journeys

I remember one night in Brazil

Thousands of beetles on the ground there

They were doing their dance under the moon

Trust your insects

Dig in the dirt

Find your moments

To soften the hurt

Trust your insects

Worm your way

It’s the little things

That make life okay

After it rains, the bugs are all happy

it softens the ground, it freshens the air

The worms feed the earth, from shit comes flowers

The bees spread their love just by being there

I know for a fact that chickens eat insects

It’s part of their nature, it’s all good

If I was a chicken I’d probly eat insects

But I’m just a boy, not made of wood

Trust your insects

Eat what you will

Hold me closer

Experience it all

Trust your insects

And watch where you step

There may be souls underfoot

Keeping the world going round

One of these days I gotta get going

Get back on the road, to open my eyes

Live out of a bag, and sleep on the ground some

Meet all the bugs, no matter their size

So I wish to you something simple

Be what you are, but don’t be a dick

And remember the insects all around us

Lead with love, don't lead with a stick

Trust your insects

Lead with love

Find your treasures

In the trees above

Trust your insects

Take a beetle bow

Ask the bugs you meet

They might show you how
